Apprentice and junior chefs who are passionate about all things culinary have the opportunity to take their cooking to the next level by entering this year’s the Nestle Golden Chef's Hat Award 2012.
Winners of the regional heats of the Nestle Golden Chef's Hat Award will compete in cook-off against the country's best young chefs at the National Final in Melbourne. Categories include entree, main and dessert course.
Winners of the Nestle Golden Chef's Hat Award will have the opportunity to represent Australia as part of the Australian Junior Team at the 2012 Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung (IKA),also known as the Culinary Olympics, in Germany. The prize, worth $15,000 will send the winning team mates to Efurt Messe to compete in the most prestigious international culinary competition in the world.
This unique networking opportunity will allow the winners to meet with key figures in the culinary world while developing their cooking skills as they are mentored by professional chefs.
Entries for the Nestle Golden Chef's Hat Award close May 4, while the Culinary Olympics competition will be held between October 5 and October 10 at the Erfurt Messe in Germany.
