The Heating & Cooling Alliance of Australia (HCAA) is a not-for-profit alliance responsible for representing heating and cooling professionals and protecting consumers.
The alliance is comprised of heating, refrigeration and air conditioning industry professionals who agree to work in accordance with industry standards, and abide by the alliance’s Code of Ethics.
These standards ensure the consumer that when they enlist the assistance of an HCAA member their heating, refrigeration and air conditioning products will be installed in a professional and efficient manner.
The alliance is affiliated with various other heating, refrigeration and air conditioning industry associations, and members of the alliance are automatically members of the Master Plumber’s and Mechanical Services Association of Australia (MPMSAA).
Members are encouraged to only employ individuals who are appropriately trained and qualified.
They should demonstrate the ability to:
- Design heating, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Install these products
- Service heating, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Carry out electric control wiring
- Complete refrigeration pipe-work
This ensures clients receive the highest quality service and enhances their company’s reputation within the community.
Furthermore, it is required that members use heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and accessories that comply with industry standards.
The alliance has formulated a Training and Professional Development Program, an initiative that encourages members to develop their technical and business knowledge on an ongoing basis.
Membership benefits include:
- Company feature on the MPMSAA’s website
