Heats for HTN ’s annual apprentice chef culinary competition are currently in progress, with the most recent one occurring on Wednesday, July 25th at TAFE NSW Illawarra Institute – Wollongong campus.
The following three apprentices were awarded the prestigious Gold Award on the day:
- 1st Year Gold – Kirra Parsons of Vicolo
- 2nd Year Gold – Trent Turner of City Diggers/Zacs Bistro
- 3rd Year Gold – Kate Ingmire of Porterhouse Bistro, Moss Vale Hotel
Each of these winners will now proceed to the Grand Final of the prestigious apprentice competition, where they will battle it out for thousands of dollars in cash prizes.
In order to ensure the best apprentice chefs have the opportunity to compete in the competition, it encompasses a total of eleven regional heats which take place in various locations throughout NSW, Victoria and the ACT.
