Foodservice Australia was held this year at Melbourne's Royal Exhibition Centre and saw more than 200 exhibitors from all areas of the food service industry, ranging from equipment suppliers to food magazines to food distributors.
Coordinators for the event said that the event was 50 percent bigger this year than it was last.
The Rare Medium Chef of the Year, held at centre stage on the show floor, saw Neil Abrahams as the winner for the second year in a row, a first in the competition's history.
There were also free seminars being held throughout the three days that discussed a variety of different topics like how to leverage social media within your business or how to hold more functions at your venue.
The 2013 Foodservice Australia show was a success for many of its exhibitors and visitors, who all echoed a satisfied sentiment at the turnout and the more personal and private focus of the show on the foodservice industry.
