Fonterra Proud to be a Chef 2013 finalists announced

Finalists for the hotly contested Fonterra Proud to be a Chef 2013 mentorship program have been announced, with 32 apprentice chefs now in contention for the prestigious title.

From February 25 to 28 2013 each of the apprentice chefs, who hail from both Australia and New Zealand, will travel to Melbourne and attend three days of master classes.

While in Melbourne apprentice chefs will learn from some of the world’s most renowned chefs and industry experts, including:

  • Teage Ezard, Owner of Ezard, Gingerboy and Black by Ezard
  • Leigh Power, Head Chef at Gingerboy
  • Peter Wright, National President of the Australian Culinary Federation

Upon completion of the three days one of the apprentice chefs will be crowned the Fonterra Product to be a Chef winner for 2013, and they will receive an international culinary scholarship tailored to their individual aspirations as a professional chef.
