Brasserie Bread’s sourdough range has won top honours at the 2011 RAS Fine Food Show Awards. The Boulot, a 1kg traditional organic sourdough loaf, has been named Champion Loaf and awarded a Gold Medal.
The Boulot is one of five organic wheat sourdoughs which Brasserie Bread makes for retail and food service. It is made with their unique 16 year old sourdough starter culture. It takes two days to make this champion loaf.
The list of ingredients that go into making this sourdough is simple but of the highest quality: Kialla organic flour, water, Murray River salt, the 16 year old Starter.
Other awards won by Brasserie Bread’s sourdough range:
- The Boulot won Champion Loaf and a Gold Medal
- The Bakers Round Sourdough, New York Rye, and Deli Rye were awarded Gold Medals
- The Brasserie Bread Croissant won a Gold Medal for its third consecutive year
