From February 6-8 the Sydney Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour will transform into a furniture haven as the Australian International Furniture Fair takes place for yet another year.
Visitors can expect to see sustainable, hand-crafted and distinctively modern furniture from companies including Big Garden Furniture, VIVIN and Indus Valley.
Bedding, flooring and lighting collections will also be on show from companies including leading flooring distributor Unitex and melamine specialists Aussie Melamine.
A range of new exhibitors are also set to showcase their furniture collections, including Eudor, which specialises in the manufacture of modern European furniture and French furniture designer Compagnons.
The event will feature a new Still Made Here section, which will celebrate local Australian furniture manufacturers, along with a Hotel and Hospitality Furnishings area.
The latter is designed for those involved in hotels, motels, clubs, cafes and restaurants, and it aims to provide them with an insight into the latest furniture trends for the industry.
As always, the hotly contested Edge – Design & Innovation Showcase will form an important part of the event.
Here, Australia’s talented upcoming designers will compete for awards in four categories – students, commercial, concept and green.
Always interesting and insightful, in 2013 the International Industry Seminar Series will be led by renowned UK designer Abigail Ahern and American designer, writer and colour specialist Mark Woodman.
Visitors will also be able to attend a range of free workshops facilitated by Mark Davis of Davis Consulting Group.
